Engine Hyundai-Kia D4CB A brief introduction

The Hyundai-Kia D4CB engine is a 2.5L diesel 4-cylinder engine produced by the Hyundai Motor Group.

It is a direct-injection engine with a turbocharger, two overhead camshafts, and four valves per cylinder.

The engine has been in production since 2001 and has undergone several upgrades. It is used in various Hyundai and Kia models, such as the Hyundai Starex, H350, and Porter, and the Kia Sorento and Bongo. The engine is known for its power output, ranging from 100 HP to 177 HP, and its high torque output. It is also equipped with a standard particulate filter for emission compliance in 2011 models and beyond. The D4CB engine has become a staple for the Korean brand in applications where a torquey diesel engine is required.
