Engine Nissan YD25 A brief introduction

The Nissan YD25 is a 2.2 and 2.5 L (2,184 and 2,488 cc) inline-four diesel engine produced by Nissan. It features a cast-iron block, an aluminum head, and chain-driven twin overhead camshafts.

The engine is equipped with a turbocharger and intercooler, and it has been used in various vehicles, including the Nissan Navara, Pathfinder, Murano, Urvan, NP300 Navara, and Terra. The YD25 engine is known for its power output, which can range from 78 to 140 kW (105 to 188 hp), and torque output ranging from 157 to 450 Nm (116 to 332 lb⋅ft). The engine is commonly found in Nissan's minibuses, pickup trucks, and SUVs, and it has become a popular choice for its performance and reliability.

This motor replaced the CD20 and TD25 on some cars. The cylinder block here is an in-line 4-cylinder, cast iron, with a cylinder diameter of 89 mm. Inside the block there is a crankshaft with a piston stroke of 100 mm, and the length of the connecting rods is 154.5 mm. All this gives 2.5 liters of working volume.
