Engine Hyundai-Kia G4FG

  The Hyundai-Kia G4FG engine is a 1.6-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine that is part of the Gamma engine family. It is equipped with a Dual CVVT system and VIS (Variable Intake System). 

This unit belongs to the Gamma II line and in fact it is an updated version of the G4FC engine.

Used on: Hyundai Elantra, Hyundai i30, Hyundai Solaris, Kia Ceed, Kia Cerato, Kia Rio

    The engine has been in production since 2010 and is known for its reliability and performance within the Hyundai and Kia vehicle lineup.

    The engine is designed with different versions, such as the G4FA, G4FC, G4FD, and G4FJ, each offering specific performance characteristics. 

    The G4FD version, for example, features greater fuel efficiency and power output with low emissions, while the turbocharged G4FJ or 1.6 L T-GDI version provides enhanced performance with features like a twin-scroll turbocharger, air-to-air intercooler, and direct fuel injection system. 

    During the production process, this engine was repeatedly upgraded and the main innovation is the appearance in 2014 of a reliable bush-roller timing chain instead of a lamellar one.
